Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 818

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

Please do not set up additional groups for this division. Information regarding the SRs in this division must be very limited.

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Anyone else in this 818 with a son/daughter with ND rating?  I only know of one other mom.

HI Marylou -  My son is also in Div 818 with an ND rating. Is your son by chance from central Texas?  I know that there was one other ND leaving for boot camp with my son. I will be attending Sarge's meet and greet.  Will you be there as well?

I will be at Sarge's ~ not sure what time ~ probably about 6 or so.  We are from Maryland.  Are you on FB?  I was asking my son about the last names of some others in the 818 ~ and he knew them and was friends with them.  You can message me your son's last name if you want.  We got a call on Saturday night.  It was awesome to hear from him and he's doing well.  Hope you received a call as well.  I know some called their GFs and the mom's didn't get any call.  I was fortunate that he called me first and his gf was sitting right next to me.

Hi to you all,  I pray that you all get your letters today.  I got one yesterday, so did my Ex and my sons girlfriend(She got  6 :/ ).  I think that the 818 SR's wrote on Sunday 8/10.  We probably got our letters quicker since we only live 5 hours from Chicago.  Hang in there I'm sure your letters will be coming soon.

Also remember there first 2 weeks are the hardest and they are over.  So they are adjusting and things will be getting better for them.

Hugs to you all

Letters from our 'future sailors' in 818!!!  yay.  I'm hoping we all received something ~ anything to keep us hanging on.

I received my first letter today . I have such an emotional moment when i saw writing.

:))))

Me too!  I didn't think I missed him as much as I did.  I sat in the driveway and just cried when I saw his handwriting.  It took me forever to just open the envelope.  I can tell he has been doing much soul searching and the things he wrote to me and his gf are just so profound.  I never knew he had so much emotion in him ~ even more reasons to be proud of him!  He amazes me every day.  Just confirmation as a mom that we did a good job raising him.

Love to all.....

Finally a letter (or should I say 5!) they were all dated various days between 8/4 and 8/10 but all were mailed on 8/11. Wonder if they can only send mail once a week. Still waiting for a call. Has anyone in this div received a call?

No calls but I believe we should this weekend!

I believe they are training our division quite differently than the others ~ just preparation for their training and jobs ahead of them.  I completely support their RDCs.

I received a call !!!!! So happy :)))

I got a phone call and boy was I glad to hear his voice!
