kfguay - thanks, my son is normally good and letting me know.  I think he doesn't want to tell me until it's "Official".  Yes, he was supposed to originally graduate 9/19.  I'm anxious to make the travel plans to attend.  Are you planning on going to the graduation?

Ny is so pretty. Both places are great in there own way, I really enjoyed visiting both places. Leaning more to liking NY better but that might be the newness of it all talking. My son got a place in Quiet Harbor in Saratoga Springs. Easy to get to base I think less then 10 miles and Saratoga Springs has everything you want parks, restaurants, shops etc.

For those going to Saratoga Springs, they have ALOT of furnished homes for rent up there. My son and three others shared a house for two years. If you want info let me know and I can ask him how he found out about them.

Hi all - Happy Wednesday!

I believe there was a new member - Tea - that said she was marrying her nuke today.  Just want to give a shout out to her & her sailor and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!

Sandra MM Nuke- I think my son is, he told me but I've forgotten. I should hear from him today so I will ask him. Graduation was originally set for 9/19 back in July once things got back to normal. He told me last week it was pushed back a week to the 26th. I believe his Chief told them that.

Thanks for the positive posts on BS. My son is usually so upbeat and so I am hoping he will do fine once he adjusts. Hey didn't one of you Dad's on here have a house you rent out there? Is it occupied at this time? seems to me you posted about it and it sounded like a pretty sweet house.

Sierra scrapper... I am jumping up and down for you. Sorry his twin could not come. Hope he can go visit him in Goose Creek. I am sure that they will have a blast together then. Oh an it is highly likely he would be home for Christmas.

Kfguay - is your son in class 1304? My son has been in BS since sept also. Where did you get the possible graduation date?
Comment by Sierrascrapper (ETN2) on August 26, 2014 at 10:40pm

Oh goodness CO-twin.  What a big change for your Sailor.  Sorry to hear that he has to go but really wanted to stay.  I'm sure he is thrilled to be with all of his buddies though!

BTW...I have a strong feeling my MAGIC day will be the one that our group reaches it's goal.  We'll see!  But I can just taste it!  LOL

Can't believe PIR is almost here!  SO DANG EXCITED!  I can't concentrate on all the important stuff that I need to finish!  LOL  Chicago here I come!

Comment by kfguay on August 26, 2014 at 10:25pm
My son is in BS and loves it. He will be there a yr in Sept because of all the delays. Hoping for graduation on 9/26. He doesn't want to go thru another winter, lol!
