OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thanks all. He never cries and to hear him cry my heart is breaking even more. I am at my other sons baseball game and tears won't stop. I honestly didn't expect he would be upset. He has been our rock and strong one. He hasn't received any letters yet and they are getting mail so get those letters out!!! Hoping he gets them soon especially the one from his cat because I must admit it's pretty funny and I know he will laugh. I have the letter from the dogs point of view (from his dog) going out I guess would be now Tuesday. Let's see if he makes it!!! At this point I'm worried.

No call for me yet. :(. Ship 14/div 328! I sure hope he gets to call. Do they let everyone in the div call? I won't leave the house since I don't know if he'll call home or cell! He probably is saying "nah i don't need to call". Ughh, kids!

I switched my hotel to the Navy Lodge! Ramada had bad Trip Advisor reviews! 7 more Fridays!

Is there anyone out  there with someone in Ship 11 Div 330? Did everyone get a call today? It was a great surprise. I wasn't expecting to hear her voice for 2 more weeks.

gretamae3, I am sorry your son is having  a rough time.  Last week was my sons rough time.  He spent 5 days in the hospital and is on light duty for a week.  He did not do his swim test either.  I talked to him today.  I think he sounded great because he was glad to be out of the hospital.  Hang in there, I hear it gets better. Hugs
