Same with my son.  Anyone from So. Calif.?

Hi, I am in So Cal. Huntington Beach here. My son leaves for MEPS at 4am tomorrow morning.

Hi.  I'm in Rancho Cucamonga.  My son leaves for Chicago tomorrow morning.

Is he leaving from San Diego?

Yes he is. He was supposed to leave this morning but called today and said it's tomorrow at 9am. What about

He is headed down to San Diego in the morning and then to Great Lakes from there. His recruiter said he could fly out as soon as tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning. I will be praying for a phone call so I know for sure.

The waiting and wondering is the hardest.  My son left for San Diego Tuesday morning and was supposed to fly out Wednesday morning.  Waited all day for news, then get a call from my son saying he is still in San Diego and he will leave Thursday am.  I got a text from him this morning from the plane.  They left 2 hours earlier then expected.  Will be anxiously waiting for the call that he is there.  So proud of him and the decision he made to serve our country.

My son(Josh)left for MEPS at 4 this morning and was on a plane to Chicago by 5pm. Fast. The flight was due to leave at 3:30 but was delayed so I got a wonderful, surprise call. Priceless. Now I wait for the brief call that he arrived safely. I already miss his voice....

I got the "I'm here" call at 11:15 last night.  He sounded so tired.  It was such a quick call.  Hope to hear from him in 2 weeks!

Derrick's mom, Remember, that call in 2 weeks can be before or after that. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

I got the "I'm here" call at 11:15 last night as well. He was able to send me a quick "we landed" text in Chicago before they took off for Great Lakes so it was a bonus. By the time the "I'm here" call came he really sounded tired. Looking forward to the box and form letter now. He mentioned that he may be able to write in a week. Hope so......in the meantime I'll be writing and mail it all when the address comes.
I'm from San Diego and my son left on the 4th. Received the box today and I got emotional.
