Hello Ladies!!! I'm back home - got in just after midnight! What an emotional weekend it was. Jenn has been struggling with this health issue until she gets in for treatment and gets things under control. Something simple as swimming laps the other day to work off some stress sent her to the doctor with chest pains. She came close to giving herself a mild heart attack. Then with the squadron pushing her to get in her final flight one day before the winging ceremony and she failed. Missed one item on a safety "fill in the blanks" sheet and that is an automatic fail. Of course, they told her after the four hour flight that she did extremely well on. Late Thurs night her commander called her and said all the officers from the XO down decided to go ahead and have her participate in the winging ceremony, but she had to give her wings back after. I think some people there thought she shouldn't be there and I know she felt that way too. But it was a wonderful ceremony and Dad pinned on her wings, we met some wonderful people and got to meet and talk to her flight surgeon. Then this morning she called me and said the commander called her in the office and admitted that those in charge all realized they did it all wrong. They never took her health issue into account and put all this pressure on her to finish up when they should have been focusing on the stress they were putting on her already overworked heart!!! Because of all this outcome, they are changing the way they look at their training!!! So Jenn will stay there until she gets treated and then when she is ready she will re-do her last flight and put her wings back on. So, all in all, everything will work out for this part. We'll see what comes next . . . . . . .
Jean,
So sorry to hear about you loosing your family dog. Such heartbreak!!!
jappyj,
Yes, my thoughts and prayers also go out to the families of those aviators. I hope the other pilot gets better soon. Had to laugh at your little Freudian slip!!!!!
Blondie,
So many of my parents generation still live right around the same Ohio town where I grew up. A few of my cousins moved away but this younger generation scatter all over!!!!
Catsmom,
Sorry it's so hot out there for you. And I do hope they get all the fires out soon!!!! Glad to hear you took the opportunity to speak up about the problems at work before bad patterns got set. I hope things continue to improve for you!!!
Hope I haven't missed anyone or any special news. I have a lot to catch up on!!!!
Blondie, Love the pictures.
Good Morning to Everyone.
Catsmom, Don't worry about if the dog was a she or he. I always called her a he too. LOL. It was so quiet when I woke up today. My son is going to have a hard time today. He is the one that stayed home all day with her.
Bright side, I got to see my granddaughter over the weekend and get to babysit her tonight.
Our dog is gone. R I P Turner. Thanks everyone
