Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 333 and 334

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Received a phone call today from my son.

I just received a call from my SR (12/334) and I am on cloud nine!!  He sounds great, missing the fun 'home life' but making friends and doing well.  He is so excited that they get to use live ammunition this week. 31 days to go!!!!

I received another call- I am ecstatic because I actually got TWO today, one earlier in the day for information..when he called this evening I missed the first call and nearly broke down sobbing, but he called back...he too sounds good, homesick for sure. I have been writing him every day..I am running out of things to say, but I put some sports news and stuff on the back of the letter..I asked him tonight if he has ever thought since he got there if he made the wrong decision, and he said.."nope, not at all!"..Thank GOD!! I am happy that everyone is getting calls- it is such a welcome surprise, isn't it!!??

I am so happy for you!!  I received a call Wednesday morning for info also. Tuesday afternoon I got to talk to him for 20 minutes. He said he would call Sunday.  It seems like they are growing up, my son does sound older also. Proud Navy Moms!!!!

I was told that after graduation, our new sailor will be able to use their phone but not bring it back to the ship with them overnight. Our flight leaves early Saturday at another airport so I won't be able to give my son his phone in person. I was thinking of possibly asking a parent who will be going to the airport to see their sailor off if they could bring it to him for me. Anyone from 334 going to the airport early?

Second letter received today from my SR!  He sounds good, said he is meeting friends and counting down the days till graduation. 4 more Fridays - can't wait to see him in his dress blues!!!  GO NAVY!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know what day of hell week it is for them?  I heard the brother divisions are on different days.  I have been lighting the blue candles since last Friday.  Since I did not hear from my SR this weekend, I'm thinking he is in the middle of hell week.

Received a letter from my SR today!!  In general, he sounds much better.  The only thing is he has strained his left calf.  He went to medical after 3 days of it hurting and is on LLD (as of his 9/21 letter).  Please pray that he will feel better soon as he is in hell week and, as a mother, I am concerned about how his calf will be affecting him and his performance during this crucial time in bootcamp.

Will pray for your SR.

Praying for your SR.

Received a letter from my SR today!!!   It is a very upbeat letter and that make this Mom so happy.  He said that hell week has been the quickest week yet.  He said he may have gotten sharpshooter for the 9mm pistol - he is so excited!  His division received one of the highest scores ever in the Marlinspike.  Hooyah!!  As a division, they could certainly do better but there are still 2 weeks left.  They were not able to call last week and he gave me no date as to when they would be able to again.  I miss hearing his voice so much!!!  2 weeks and 1 day left - can't wait!!!!!!!  12/334

That's awesome to hear! We are counting down the days!
