Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 329 and 330

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi, my son is Div 329 and has called one time the first week they were gone.  Has anyone had more than one call?  Just wondering if can make calls and how often while in BC.  When I spoke with him, he sounded so mature already.  Can't wait to see him 10/17.  And YES, we bought cancellable airline tickets getting in 10/16, leaving 10/19.

Our SR is also 329, and he has called twice. Two Saturdays ago and this last Saturday, we missed the call this Saturday though :( I am really looking forward to a letter! There is no way to know when or how often they can call it is up to the RDC's.

My son is in div 329 and he has called 3 times to his wife but the 3rd time was business an d only lasted 2 min.

I really like this site, Thanks for creating it.

My son did call this past Saturday later than the last time he called, he meet someone from Worcester MA he thought that was great we do not live there but my husband & I are both from there

and have most of our family there. He just felt that much closer to home. he sounds great I also got a letter last Friday, seems like he is getting mail regularly.

35 days...so excited to honor our kids!

In no time at all it will be here, even if it feels like eternity right now!

Hi Katie02,

That would be me!!! We got a letter last Friday OH My! he was not having a good day!

but my husband expected that ( ex Navy man himself) but the letter was dated Sept 1stand it included a few more dates and they got better! He also called that same day, so glad he did because he sounded good and said he was getting used to it.

So glad he found someone with a lot in common! your stepson must be a great kid!

Hi Yellow866,

I think those first few weeks were rough! As they have gone along seems like they have gotten better. He said in this letter they got a new RDC and said that your SR was a new bunkmate, so they must have done some switching around! Things seem to be going well now. He also said that they are the same rate, so they are going to be with each other through at least A school :) He is a great kid, yours must be too!

Just realized that I put his last name and I am not supposed to do that huh? I am going to have to delete that whole first comment. So when it disappears that is why. Are you on the Facebook group?

Yes I did join the Facebook group. Just don't get on that as much.Hoping we will get a letter tomorrow (Friday).

I tend to check both FB and here regularly, I am a bit obsessed with getting any and all information :)

I feel super lucky that our letter day is Wednesday, not as much waiting! The letter we received yesterday was super short, but at least this time we got a little more information. He promised to write more this week, but I am not holding my breath! I wonder if we will get more phone calls, other than the I am a sailor call. He was able to call twice last week, one on Friday and then again on Saturday. His brother and I hadn't gotten to talk to him until that Saturday call. It was so nice to hear his voice. His brother is 7 and was super bummed to always miss the calls, so he was jumping around when he got to talk to him.

I hope you get a nice letter! It is amazing what even half a page will do for my moral!

Hey all, my SR is Div 329, ship 11. I haven't received the grad packet yet, but I have gotten 2 letters, and 3 phone calls. My SR said he sent it to the wrong address at first but re-sent it,still nothing! Has anyone experienced this before? It's getting closer!!!! So proud of my man :)

Hi FSW32 I am not sure about the form letter, that would be something to ask on the main wall, so the admins can see it.
