Is there anyone in this group near the Northampton/Amherst area? Or even Springfield? I'm really struggling with the empty nest thing; have been blind-sided actually. I never thought I would go through these emotions; the feelings are similar to when I got divorced! I'd like to try to communicate with others going through this or who have some constructive advice...I know I'll feel better in a bit. She's leaves for the hotel tonight; then we see her off in the morning. I can't believe she won't be sleeping in her bed here for a long time, if ever. Rationalizing all the good things about this isn't helping me at this stage.

Sorry to have been MIA for a while.  May is absolutely NOT my favorite month anymore.  Just too many very, very sad days.  I'm thankful that tomorrow is June 1st.

But what do you think, should we think about having a summer time packing party??  We'll have to wait until the June adoption is announced - but what do you think?  We could combine it with a fun time like last year too if you want.  Do I have any takers for a packing party in June?

ProudNavy, I think your idea was great! but if I ask my friends for more money for a walk they will kill me. Thank you for getting the group going again. I am putting my thinking cap on.

OK, MA Mommas!  We need to get this site moving - literally and figuratively AND I have an idea.

Do not dare to say, uh-oh, until you hear it.

How about we register for the Walk to Home fund-raiser at Fenway Park in July?  If we do the 3K walk, we only need to be responsible for raising $250 each (runners have to raise more).  The $250 is IF we register before May 15th.

What are your thoughts?  (Be nice.)  I'm in.  Anyone else???
