~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Loretta:  I agree with CatMom.  With over 5,000 SRs on the base, you can imagine how hard it is to schedule calls.  Hope another one comes soon for you though!  On the "makeup" calls for those on watch, my son was able to make one of those when he was up there....but like CatMom says, it doesn't always happen.

Q'sMom:  The misbehaving SRs happen in every PIR group, but they get it together.  Those who don't are discharged or asmoed (setback).....

Good Morning All !

Loretta 1212 and Momsoblessed my son is also on ship 14 Div 347. He called last evening and seems to be doing well. His voice sounded much more confident than in the first phone call.

Loretta1212,

If a division has already called, they generally can't call the next day too because other divisions will be calling their families.  If a SR has been on watch, he/she may get a make-up call, but not always...

Ship 14 Div 348  ~  Just got off the phone with my Baby!!!  He's a little tired but doing well!  So incredibly Happy to hear his voice!!  Aced his Swim Test & PFA!  Feels Great about his written test.

He's also frustrated with the some of the guys who are "acting immature" and holding them back from being the Division he knows they can be (which is one of the things he was hoping he wouldn't have to deal with)
But, overall, he said that he knows they'll all eventually come together and that they're going to make it...Together! That's my baby!!! I am Soooo Proud!!! He also got a kick out of hearing what we're going thru here online as a group (as far as putting the word out about letters/call received so that we're all on-guard & hoping....)  He felt bad for "Us" LOL He said to let everyone know that the guys are doing just fine!!! Yayyy!!!! I'm so Happy, Happy, Happy!!!!  Whew...thank you, Lord!!

:D I finally got to talk to her.

Comment by diannep on September 20, 2014 at 6:26pm

Congrats on the calls today!  Don't worry....they are still in the very hard part of Bootcamp....as it goes along, you will hear and read more "positive" in their calls and letters.  Still lots of yelling going on and orders given to this group!
