5 boxes with each having 8 pillowcases and an assortment of nuts (no comment) gum, mints and individual drink packets.

Good morning Everyone, How are we coming along with sending some love to the USS O'Kane?? So far I have 98 treat bags packed and found some really cute Halloween decorations at the Dollar Store.

Did you see the picture of the young man from Indiana who did his Eagle Scout project by sending a BUNCH of boxes to our heroes?!

I picked up some Halloween decorations too.picked up 250 goody bags now to just fill them. This is the first time iv done this so not quite sure how its done.what should i put in the bags besides candy ?

LI mom, There are 250 on the ship......I have 100 treat bags filled, Denise (Dee) has 30 ready, and CruAn is going to do some. So while I TRULY appreciate that you have 250 goody bags, you aren't going to have to do that many. I filled mine with gum, suckers, Nerds, taffy, and misc. candy you can purchase this time of year in the big assortment bag!

Ok Pat how about i do 50 and if you need more let me know. This way i can buy more things to go. Told ya im new at this lol.

LI Mom, Sounds like a good plan!! New or not, you are doing a GREAT job and we sincerely appreciate it!!

Thank you Pat :)

I finally packed my goody bags.  I have 25 plus 24 individual bags of Cracker Jack Popcorn. (Couldn't resist the sailor on the packaging. LOL)  I skipped the chocolate, and stuck to the hard assortment. Also threw in a few decorations.

I love how our community of supporters can work together to accomplish making our heroes feel special! We have all the pillowcases promised! Woot Woot!

I don't have to send as many as I thought I would so I will be able to send jerky, energy drink mix and nuts. I remembered there was a Visa gift card in the box of fabric that had been sitting at a post office for almost 3 months so I will use that to send laundry pods via smile.amazon with Molly's Adopt a Sailor benefiting from that!

I have 2 boxes so far. Made treat bag for all are sailors. Tucked in a couple of movies and some energy drink mix.
Three boxes with treat bags and decorations 2 movies and a card game. I don't want to stack on top of each other cause i dont want them squished.

Question Pat,

Do the DVDs have to be new in the package or can I send ones that have already been opened?  What is your preference?

I have quite a variety of DVDs that will not be making the trip with me to Virginia.  (already opened) The boys said that they have all the movies they want downloaded onto their computers already.  I have at least 20 so far.
