OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi All, just wanted to share this inspirational message I saw on a church sign this morning...

"You Never Know How Strong You Are Until

Being Strong is the Only Choice You Have!"

Wow!  It made me think of my SR, and all our Recruits, and what they've gone through - and will go through - before graduation.  I'm so proud of them, and beyond happy for them that they have this opportunity to find out how strong they really are!  (It occurred to me, the message could also be applied to us moms and other loved ones learning how strong we can and must be back home.)  Can't wait to hear they made it!

Diannep, on BS21, SR's knows the day they're doing Battle Station but not the time right? it can be anytime that night of the scheduled day.

Aurora, thanks for the info. my son is on 9/307. There's another SR call yesterday from same Div said the same thing. I can't wait for the "I'm a Sailor call". Did your son got a reward phone call? I have not heard my son's voice for a month now.  Thx for sharing. Are you going to Sarge's meet and greet?

Good Morning!

Welcome back, Lala!  We missed you!

BattleStations for this PIR group will start tomorrow night, continuing on Mon/Tues nights of PIR week. It won't be long now before you all have SAILORS!  If you need a date, please post here or friend request your question to me.  We cannot post actual division dates here or on FB, but can private message them.

Lala,

That's great Best Buy refunded the full amount of that bunky laptop!!  So did you get another of the same model or changed to a different one?

Comment by diannep on September 23, 2014 at 11:31pm

Will send it to you in a friend request, Samantha.  Don't hit ACCEPT or the info goes away.

HI everyone, I am back :) My computer crashed again and I finally convinced Best Buy that I had a lemon and should be able to return it. They gave me full credit for a new one  and so far so good :)
