Cath Bubblehead mom,Please let your son and daughter-in-law that we would like to invite them over to join us on the weekend if they would like to.

baby dukie's mama, if by chance he does go East coast and ends up here, we can invite him over also.

LindaGirl 52, Thanks! Actually, that is our dream and goal-to see other couples opening their homes to these servicemen and women everywhere there is a base!  And by the way, before he retired, my husband was one of the Chaplains at the Sub-base at Pearl Harbor. We loved it over there! You should plan to visit him. Hawaii is beautiful! :)

John & Yvonne, what a beautiful thing you are doing for our sailors. It makes me wish my son was stationed at Norfolk, but he is stationed in Hawaii.  Maybe  your post, will give other families the same idea to do what you are doing at other bases & it will catch on all over!  Wouldn't that be great!

Right now he is in Groton until the end of October. His boat is in dry dock in VA, so he & his wife will be moving there for a year. Then when his boat goes back out, he will be at Kings Bay, GA

Thanks Cathbubblehead mom! Where is your son at? Or  where is he going? I know a lot of sailors end up in Groton...but there's always hope they will come here! :)

Yvonne
