Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 327 and 328

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We just heard from our son who's PIR is October 17. He sounded really good and was counting down the days. He said his division won the honor division! He said that meant all kinds of things. Most importantly a little extra liberty time after graduation. He also mentioned something about Recruit Heaven and food. I hope you ladies hear from your loved one too!

horseshoe.angela , Your SR must be in 327!!! My son is in 327!!! They are doing good.  As a momma I am so relieved to hear they are on the right track.  Can't wait Oct.7th will be here before we know it.

Hi there CeCe! Yes he is :) They are doing very well and I too am so proud of him and the others. This week is going to be a busy week for them. He said that one of the things he was going to do was the gas chamber :) Tim was actually excited and looking forward to it. One funny thing is that Our family is Mega Alabama Crimson Tide Fans (Roll Tide) and of course Tim can't watch the games. He said one instructor told him that Alabama had lost all of their games so far this season :) Of course Tim knows differently since I have written him a play by play letter of each game. Soooo, I'm glad that there is this friendly "tease" between him and Tim. Makes things fun and he loves it. I look forward to meeting you and your family. :)

horseshoe.angela, Sounds like it's not all serious which is good.  My son said he was looking forward to the gas chamber too.  Weird must be a male thing. LOL!!  I am looking forward to meeting y'all too.  I have met a couple others on here from Alabama too.  Did your SR fly out of Montgomery?  My son said he flew out with several guys.  He talked to one all the way up to BC and they were in the same division. Don't know who he was.

HI CeCe! He went to Nashville for MEPS and flew out of there too. We are in Huntsville,AL which puts us about an hour and forty-five minutes south of Nashville. And yes definitely a male thing :) Do you know what kind of liberty they will get since they made Honor Division? I've heard rumored it could be anything from 30 minutes more to two hours more. He got to call on Saturday for about an hour. He sounded really good. He said that they had to do a 17 minute continuous run last week. WoW! That would kill me.

my husband is in 327 too and says they are pretty much locked in for honor division but other than recruit heaven he hasnt mentioned anything about liberty

My son is looking forward to Recruit Heaven! I think they get phone privileges too which will be awesome. :)

Yes my son mentioned a 17 min. run too. I could not do it either.  I am not sure about liberty.  I think it all comes down to when they fly out for A school.  Hopefully they will know after BS.  I am glad their BS is early enough so we can get more information before PIR weekend.  I am just keeping the DIV. in my prayers and burning my blue candles. I hope they get to call this weekend too.  So far I think we have gotten a call every week.  I hope that keeps going until Oct. 17th.  :D

If you don't mind where is your son going to A school? My son will be going to Pensacola. We are very blessed as this is my home town and is a 5 hour drive to get there. My son said that he had made a friend that will be going to Pensacola as well. They were hoping to maybe room together.

Horseshoe.angela,  My son is going to Pensacola too.  They might know each other.  I can pm you my son's last name.   I am so glad he will not be that far away.  We are planning on going down there to see him.  My sons dad was stationed there long time ago before he was born. His dad went to Great lakes for boot camp too. Unfortunately his dad will not be able to attend graduation, but his step mom and brother will be there. We all can't wait to see him graduate!! What is your SR's job going to be?

That's awesome! He will be training as a CT.  My husband and I will be flying up to Great Lakes along with my sons Girlfriend.  Super excited!

horseshoe.angela, That's great!! Are you going to Sarge's Meet and Greet on Thursday night?
