Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I know what you mean LoriM-When I saw the countdown clock this morning I was smiling from ear to ear! I do have a question for you guys though. My SR put his best friend on "the list" now the friend can;t make it. I don't want to tell my SR so he doesn't get disappointed or sad before all of the activity this week and with battlestations so close. What do you guys think? Keep it hush hush or give him a heads up?

To add to CatMom's post on the dress for PIR, you will really see all types of dress there. But remember, your sailors will be in their finest! A nice pair of jeans with a shirt would be fine too....and many wear tshirts honoring their sailor. Some dress "real fancy" (usually ones seeing bfs/fiances/husbands!) and others not so much. The most important thing is to be comfortable. There is a good deal of walking that day, climbing in the bleachers, etc. So be sure to have on comfortable shoes.

You are very close to seing your SR daughter now!! You mean she probably passed her final PFA (Physical Fitness Assessment), right? I'm sure she is focused and on her way to finishing well!
Meet & Greet is casual. Just relax and take in all the info! Hopefully meet some of the moms from here. Put your Navy for Mom name under your regular name to hopefully spot each other!
PIR should be Business Dress, like going to church nice. Go for comfortable nice shoes as you will be going up and down metal bleachers and if you plan on visiting the Photo Lab or RTC NEX, it's a little walk from the graduation hall. Remember that your Sailors are in their Dress Blues and very snazzy!!

Let the countdown begin I am bubbling over with excitement about being reunited with my SR. She is ship 12 Div 322. I have missed all of her calls. I didn't get a letter from her last week which was quite disappointing for my son and I. At this point I'm choosing to believe she has passed her final PCR and is getting prepared to start battle stations soon. I don't get to share my feelings often or ask questions but I would appreciate if someone could tell me what's the dress code for both the meet and greet and the PIR? How far is the Navy lodge from the PIR?
