Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 353 and 354

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

MHD we are staying at navy lodge too and my son is also DIV 353

Wow, is all I can say, got a letter yesterday, and a phone call today. I thought something was wrong, because he called last Saturday too! He seemed in good spirits and said things were going well. Possibly expect another call next weekend and after that they have to be earned. Love and miss him but can't express how proud I am!!

I didn't know y'all said y'all in Florida?  That's a Texas term!  :)  Heard from my son yesterday.  Still sounds upbeat.  I'm happy for him.

My son is in 353, I also sent a card for anyone who isn't receiving mail. I think it's a great idea.

Hello, my son is 353 also. He has called twice and sounds great. He told me he made some great friends and even going to A School with some. He is staying in GL. Any other moms have a recruit staying in GL for A School?
My son is staying in GL for A school. It will be nice that some will be starting together again

My son 353.

Yes, I have. He gave us two phones called already, and we also receive two letters from him. He also writes to his friends too.

Kinda bummed, no letter, they must be working hard, or maybe I will be surprised Monday. Also missed hearing his voice once more. We just need to keep counting down!

He called home twice. First time he brakes down and cried because he missed the family, but he is not giving up. The second time he told me he's doing better and he's ok. We also got two letters from him. Yes, I missed his voice and can only talked for three minutes.

I haven't received any letters either, but I already told my son not to feel pressured to write if he is tired or busy.  I've been sending about 2-3 letters a week plus football scores (yesterday was a doozie!).  I told him to just be prepared to answer all my questions when I see him at PIR.  Knowing that he sounds upbeat is good enough for me.  Missed receiving a weekend call, though.  Maybe 353 will be able to call again soon.

Just got a letter from my son, he writes to me “Iam so lucky to have ended up in one of the best division. The best ship in boot camp, the rules are strict but the rewards and pride with it are awesome. Totally with the extra effort. I get more confident everyday that we can do this. The only flags we have left to get are the athletic flag and our final hall of fame flag.” Great job ladies! We have raised Sons that are putting 100% effort and teamwork.  Our sons will do awesome at Battlestations as a TEAM! I'm so filled with Pride!!!
