P-Day are the worst, lots of standing and lots of waiting so lots of boredom. They are just ready to get started with training :)

I received a short call today!! I nearly knocked a few co-workers down while answering my cell phone.   My Son needed additional information for security clearance!  He  sounded good, well rested, and he actually said he was "bored" .  Really??? maybe the P-days are still about getting things sorted out.  Not sure when I'll hear from him again, but It was great to hear his voice!!

I still have no letter or call either, but glad that I at least got his address so that I can send him letters. This waiting is hard. I will definitely let you know as soon as I hear something littleman14.

Divisions have been posted on the RTC site.  They are:

001-008, 901.  9 Divisions which means 4 guests per sailor allowed at PIR.

littleman:  If he got pushed back, he would have called you, so assume all is ok.  Remember that the letters are held from the SRs for the first 2 weeks of Bootcamp until the Recruit Mail Petty Officer is trained.  Hopefully you will hear something from him soon!

Littleman14...I saw others with your ship and div on facebook....PIR 11-14-14 maybe you can get info .It took 12 days to receive my letter. But it was postmarked 4 days before. My sons is ship03 div 005.
Comment by littleman14 on October 1, 2014 at 7:16pm

NO letter, NO phone call. My biggest hang up is, what if he does not realize he has the wrong address and is wondering why we have not written him. I am giving it until Monday and then I am calling the recruiter  who is the person who gave me the ship and DIV. In the first place.  Also wondering if something happened and he got pushed back. Prayerfully I  Codysproudmom will recive some information for me.

Julia:  Those flying out for A School will probably leave the day after PIR.....they can leave RTC on PIR Day but have to return that night.  Those staying in GL for A School will move over there as a group shortly after PIR is over .... takes a few hours....then they have Liberty until about 10 that night, and again Daytime Liberty on Sat. and Sun.  They must return to that base each night.
