Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 013 and 014

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good Morning All,

37 Days.... Yoohyah !!!!! Hoping for a letter today ;)

REMINDER **** Wacky Wednesday on Facebook today ladies .

Got a letter today! ( :  My SR said to stay near the phone on Friday, this week.

Wonderful news that you received a letter. Stalked the mail lady yesterday..... Again today... nothing, I was crushed.... I don't understand I know he was down last week from the wisdom teeth . Monday was a national holiday. Im praying for my letter tomorrow.

Got a letter from my daughter today and just got a phone call from her saying she probably wouldn't get to call again until after Battle Stations. She kept telling me she was doing good but I could tell she was really trying hard not to let me hear her cry...just killś me. She had done well on her first academic test. So proud of her and the strength she is showing to get through this. Kept thinking this would get easier.

Hi, just wondering, what are Battle Stations and when are they?  My son is Ship 3/Div.14 and he did mention that he is in integrated division, so probably with your daughter-my son said he did well on physical test and was going to take another test- probably the academic test.....

My understanding is that battle stations is their final test. 12 hours long. I looked up battle stations on this site and there is lots of information.

Got a phone call yesterday that my whole family missed!  I was so upset when I saw "payphone" on caller id in the late afternoon....no one was home....and he said he hasn't gotten any letters from us....that saddens me too because I sent my letter over a week ago!  He sounded so bummed that he hasn't heard from us.... On a lighter note...I did book all my reservations for our trip out to Chicago...very excited about all that.  We are staying in Marriott- Spring Hill ...got good reviews

tonil, My son is also in ship 3, div.014 !!

Hi Shelly....did you make your reservations yet?  I do have it all planned out and confirmations are set.  I keep reading on this site for tips and info..... so much to take in, but soooo happy those who have had this expeience before us are helping us make some good decisions...... I just cannot wait for Nov. to come....and I am carrying the phone all over the house with me so that I don' dare miss another call!  How about you?

Same tonil, I received a letter Friday which was a little late , then 30 minutes later a call !!! A beautiful surprise !!! Today I surfing on a great lakes f/b site( Naval Station Great Lakes)  and came across a picture of my son !!!!!!!!! No doubt its him <3 I asked his younger brother for clarification and he said " Yep that's him Mom !, can I give you a hug " haha You might want to check it\ out your sons in the same division , I would assume they would be grouped as such .

I have also read here , there is a way to have your home calls forwarded to your cell. Just incase you need to run errands , yard work or otherwise not taped to home.
