I was just wondering if any of you have son's/daughter's leaving right after boot camp to the Nuclear Power Training School in South Carolina?  The only posts I find on this site are from 2013 and dating back as far as 2008.  My son is going directly into the Nuke program right after his PIR on 11/14/14 and I was wondering if anyone else has the same situation?  Thanks!!

My son's PIR date is 11/24.  He is heading to SC also.

Hi Sarah,

That is wonderful.  Hopefully our SR's will get to know each other at Nuke School.

Rhonda-my son is ship  11 division 9.  What is yours?  Maybe they already know each other!

He is Ship 13, Div 007.  I think they are probably in different divisions but the same group.  I heard 007-009 were all together.  My SR is pretty out going and will get to know everyone in his general area.  :-)  Hopefully they have met and if not I am sure they will in school.  Good luck and hopefully we can meet as well!

Divisions 007 and 008 are on Ship 13 and are brother divisions and train together. They are in the 11/14/2014 TG. Divisions 009 and 010 are brother divisions and are on Ship 11 and are in the 11/21/2014 TG, so Divisions 007 and 009 will not have anything together.

Check you My Page.

I've been searching for the same! My son left on Oct 14. Just got the form letter yesterday... His PIR day is 12/12. He will be going to SC for Nuke. A little behind your sons! :-)

I've let ellen know that loved ones have received the form letter for the 12/12/2014 PIR date. Keep watching PIR 12/12/2014 TG 05 and join when it is up.

I left additional info for you on your My Page.

My son Nathan will be 1 week ahead of him not sure when they start classes. They could end up in the same one.

Check your My Page.

Hi Boofay72,  I also can't wait for 11/14/14.  Can't get here fast enough. ;-)   I was just curious where you saw the blood drive photo on fb and if it is only his division or is it all the combined division for PIR 11/14/14?

Thank you!  I am on another fb page that is just for our PIR group and I believe it is PIR 11/14/14 Navy Boot Camp.  There are no photos of our SR's but it is a pretty cool place to ask questions or learn about the Navy.  I was curious about when they would receive paychecks but didn't want to ask but yesterday it was posted on there so that helped.  Hope to meet you on 11/14/14!  Thanks again!

Hi Rhonda,
My son is going to Nuke school in Charleston as well. I'm not aware of how quickly they will ship after PIR, have you heard something specific and formal? I'm hoping to have at least one evening with him after graduation!
Where are you from? I live in southern California.
Best, Chris
