For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome, Emily, to the group no one ever wants to join but always sticks with...please make sure any other moms with kids deploying on that mission knows that they are welcome here. May be a different type of mission, but the feelings and the fear is still the same. You will find strong support here and moms who will make sure you know you are not alone.

Hello everybody. I just got news that my son will be shipping out end of nov for operation unity assistance. He is a hospital corpsman and his billet says, medical training. He heads out 2 Norfolk Sunday 2 start a months worth of training.

Nicksmom...my son was on that same time frame, Lajuene in October and home to us for Thanksgiving! very thankful that Thanksgiving!! We were very blessed the 7 years he was in, it just timed out that he was able to come home every Christmas even if it was for a couple of days and the only time all year. I kinda really enjoyed one leave in March with no holiday stuff going on!

We are so excited to have our Corpsman home for Christmas this year for the first time in two years. And although we will enjoy the holiday with him, I am sad that there are a lot of families that will not be together. One of his friends from bootcamp has left for a year long underway. He has a wife and four small children. How incredibly strong you have to be in order to continue on!!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner NicksMom!

Looks like Thanksgiving now. Darn it! But, it'll get here soon enough. At least I can text him whenever I want to now. :)
