So much has happened since two years ago today...He left as a immature young man and has turned out to be a very well mannered responsible adult...now stationed in Norfolk, VA aboard the USS Vella Gulf..traveled to the Med.and back....thank's to B's NukeMom whose son left the same day I have pictures..

Very proud GMA **just a note:  Mike (my husband) had a wonderful time going on Vella Gulf Tiger Cruise...

2 years ago today our son left for the Navy.  Time seems to have both flown by and to stand still!  (Our son left the same day as GMA of a Sonar Tech's grandson!)

When we flew to PIR we left out of Ontario - used Southwest.  On another trip to visit when he was in South Carolina we flew out of San Diego.  Last trip we visited him in NY & we flew from Ontario again.  We always use Southwest just because they allow changes for no fee (unless the flight itself is more) and they allow 2 bags for free.  You just have to shop around a little!

Happy Thursday!

I am from Riverside and am flying out of John Wayne airport. I got a really good deal with American Airlines and I'm staying at the navy lodge.

Our son graduated close to a holiday as well (Memorial weekend).  It was cheaper to fly out of LAX for 3 of us.  We flew into O'Hare, stayed first night in Navy Lodge then the other 2 nights at a different hotel which escapes me right now.
