Sherry,,, I know exactly what you are going through.  Was there last year with my daughter.  I will be here to help you as much as I can.  Have you heard from her again yet???

Comment by Sherry on October 31, 2014 at 2:50pm

My daughter should have had PIR three weeks ago today.  She is over her run by 20 seconds.  They forced her to go to the cardiologist twice.  The only thing they found was low iron so they put her on light duty for 7 days. She then said that she only had three more tries to pass the run.  I am not exactly sure when the 7 days of LD began and ended since all this information was in a letter that we received on 10/29.  The letter was dated 10/21.  Of course that means as of today, I don't know if today was her last chance.  It is so frustrating not being able to speak to her.  She seems to be in a good place emotionally and she seems to be motivated.  She wants to stay in and not be separated.  I am praying every day that we get the "I'm a Sailor" call.  I am so broken hearted for her.

Dear Lord,   I ask that you watch over those here,, they need your strength to see them through.  Take their fears and worries to lighten their load.  Hugs and prayers for all.

Lason,,,, want to check in with you.. how are things going?  I sent you a friend request...  shelley9513 how are you doing too?  Prayers for all!

shelley9514,,, navymom3 is correct,,, write as many letters you can and send cards that encourage her.  Many have been in her position and win the battle in the end.  Tell her to keep going and always try to stay in front of everyone running,, that helps with the goal,,, they pay more attention to trying to stay in front then how they are feeling.  Prayers to her!!!  As mom it is hard because we can not help other than write, write and write more.

Sorry to hear she didn't pass. We have all been there. Just send her very encouraging letters asap. As she will not be able to call. Remind her that many have been in the same boat and you just got to push through and get it done. Hang in there Mom.
