oh! I missed his call last week so I am so glad I got it today.  He said its the last call until they call to say if they if they are a sailor :(  He sounded upbeat, says there is good days and bad days, that he feels Thanksgiving is so far away.

I want to thank everyone also for all the wonderful comments, helpful information and sharing your thoughts.  I read everyday but don't comment very often.I have only received one letter so far and no phone call, but I too saw a little hint of increased appreciation for family.  Our family has always been VERY close and the day my son left was the proudest and worst day all rolled into one.  First two weeks were so incredibly hard.  But with prayer and supportive friends, each day gets better.  I just want to encourage all of you moms to hang in there:)  What a blessed Thanksgiving we have to look forward to!!!
