Lala,

I was thinking of asking you, but wasn't sure if your daughter had naturally straight hair like you....

Donna_Julie's Mom, if she asked for it then it should be fine to send it. My daughter asked for hers when she was in boot camp and I sent it. Just mark on the outside of the package what it is, Straightener for PIR and it should be fine. They won't normally ask for you to send anything they haven't been told is okay. Some RDC's allow it and some don't so only send these items if they have asked you to :)

Donna_Julie's Mom,

I've seen where contacts and make-up have been requested that you can send, but haven't seen anything about styling appliances.  You can ship requested items in bubble mailers, but it has to be clearly marked.  Let me see what I can find out...

Hello Friends!

Hello, That costume is so cute!  I was wondering if someone could help me out.  I received a letter from my daughter asking me to send her, her hair straightner for PIR she said it was allowed.  I can't find any information on this, I only read that everything has to fit in a standard size envelope. Can I send it to her?

Hi everyone, my grand baby is finally getting better and we took her to the costume contest this afternoon and she won first place :) Everyone loved her scuba costume my daughter/Sailor made for her. I hope you all have a great Halloween week :)

*change of plans and ask that he add the kids' names....

Comment by diannep on October 25, 2014 at 4:49pm

littleman:  There are no actual passes for PIR --- they go by the guest names submitted by the SRs.  SRs are NOT allowed to put another SR's guest on their own list.  Lots of trouble for this.  So sorry, but no way to handle it that way.

Be sure to write your SR right away and let him know the change of plans to and add the kids' names.  He will update this list in about a week or so.   You said your in laws can't go, so I'm assuming there were 2 of them, which means the 4 yr old and 9 yr old can take their places on the guest list?  You still then only have 4 guests attending?
