For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Thanks mainemom and Rebecca K! Just trying to get a general time frame of when the boat will be finishing dry dock and heading for warmer climate. Looks like my southern boy will be in for another cold winter! I would like to visit but will probably wait for spring. Hope you have a great weekend!

Yes, they keep security pretty tight on the boat, We will know approximate date until hours before in most cases.

Flecther's mom- My son is an ET-Nav also. Yes, the boat is on dry dock, and it is scheduled to go to San Diego late next year as Mainemom mentioned. I don't think we get to know specifics on the dates the boat is to be moving due to security reasons. I'm sure our sons will let us know when they are given the go ahead to tell us (when our sons are given that info).

Yes, the boat is in dry dock, and I do understand that it is going to San Diego. As to when I am not sure. Probably next fall. Our son will be transferring before that date, so not sure.

Is it correct that the boat is currently in dry dock and will be based in San Diego once it is ready for action? How much longer will it be in New Hampshire? I know my southern boy is getting tired of the cold winters!

Fletcher's Mom- What is your son studying for? Mine son is an ET. If you are interested another group you may want to join is Sub Moms. You will get a lot of helpful answers to any of your questions from either group. The Sub Mom Group is just a little more active, especially when the Alex is in port on US soil.

Hi! My son is currently in A School at Groton and has been told the Alexandria will be his assignment after graduation mid Dec. Looking forward to learning more about the "silent service" and meeting the other "sub moms!"
