Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

Proud Mom I know how overwhelming the last couple weeks can be. My husband graduated a couple classes ago. I felt anxious and relieved all at the same time. Once he got into the swing of things with his new command all my anxiety went away. They embody the word highly trained perfessionals and there is no where else in the Navy I would feel safer with him being.

Proud Mom,  I do know what your feeling, my son has been a SWCC over 4yrs now & I remember how hard it was waiting to hear from him while he was going through the training.   Best of luck to your son in these last 6wks of training & you hang in there!  We are here for support if you need us!

My son is in his last 6 weeks of SWCC training and all of a sudden it has hit me very hard exactly what he has entered into and I'm honestly scared to death!!  This is very hard for me to deal with!  I'm sure others must feel the same way -

A tragic accident took the life of Special Warfare Operator 3rd Class Jason Kortz. My son did some of his training with this young man. Prayers for his wife and family.

This is a very poignant time for me to be announcing our November adoption for MOLLYS ADOPT A SAILOR . My W will be headed out very soon ,so now I will know more realistically as I put together care packages!
For anyone interested in participating go to MAS page and look for NOV 2014 adoption of airmen and women from Arkansas.

@amber1321 Once they set the date, it is set. It is hard to plan ahead... If I remember right, the next heads up will be when your husband is asked who he would like to receive formal invitations from the Navy. You won't get invitations until about 2 weeks out. You just have to go on what he tells you when he knows... We booked our flights when they set the date with the idea that we could cancel or rebook if necessary. All my best to your husband as he works to complete this training.

Hello everyone my husband's graduation is getting close. He is about half way done with cqt. My question is when did you start booking your trips for the graduation. A graduation date has been set but nothing is in writing. I am already in San deigo with him so it doesn't really matter for me but his family wants to start booking flighta and we are just scared they may change the date when it gets closer.
