My son is ship 4 div 8 and I got both box and letter.  I'm sorry for those of you still waiting!

my sons in ship 4 div 803 and I have not rcvd the form letter either. Today was not a good mail day. hoping for tomorrow. Maybe it is just the ship and division they are in that is delaying the letter. remember " NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS".

dodey55 - Hoping we both have good mail days today! The mailman usually comes in another two hours. I work from home and my office faces the street. I think I know how my dog used to feel around the time the school bus was due to arrive in the afternoon!

I guess I should introduce myself :) I am one of the veteran moms who stuck around after my Sailor had PIR more than 4 years ago to help you all get through the boot camp experience. I am also the mom who makes the ribbons for PIR that you see in my profile picture. If you have any questions or concerns please let me or one of the others like me know. You can always post questions to this wall and one of us will see it and answer as soon as possible. You can also send me a friend request if you like. Many of you may already know me because I am also an admin for the original facebook PIR groups. If you are in that group please be sure and come to this page daily if possible. There are members here who just don't do facebook and there are members on facebook that don't use this site. So, to be able to connect with as many people as possible try and be active in both :) Also, don't limit yourself to meeting just those from the same division. Once boot camp is over your sailors will be heading to A-school with others from all the different divisions and you may know some of their moms/families as well. I know right now it seems like graduation/PIR will never get here but even though the days drag by the weeks do seem to pass quickly and before long you will be packing and ready to go to see your new sailor. We all know and understand how you are feeling because we have been through it with our own sailors. No one understands like another name mom :) Welcome aboard. We are so happy you found us. Here is the link for the facebook group but please remember to stay active on this page as well  :-D
