Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 037 and 038

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

That's what my SR's letter said today, that they started Hell Week on the 11th. but I have seen a lot of others say that they started last week, on the 6th. My SR, had all of his wisdom teeth pulled on the 7th. He said it wasn't bad, and that the dentist told him that he was one of his best patients, because he wasn't scared...Lol!! I am so glad he didn't hurt too bad! He said his group is doing good and working together!! 3 more weeks to go!!!

Will someone please post again the place to order challenge coins?  (It's not coming up on my search).   Thanks

Hi Everyone,  I just learned of your site a few days ago.  Today I joined your group. My SR will graduate on 12/5/2014.  I have been reading your posts to learn as much as possible about our SRs.  My SR will go to A school in Great Lakes.  I hope to get to know each of you.  We are now a part of a larger family for life.  If anyone else is planning to adopt a sailor for Thanksgiving, please share any information on where to eat, stay, etc.  Also, where is the best place to stay for the graduation? I have so much to learn.

Thank you. i finally found it.   and have it ordered.

So happy.  I got a letter from my SR today.  He said he was starting HELL week the weekend of 11/11/14.  Hope all went well for him and his team.  He said he has made lots of new friends.  I am so proud of him.

Has anyone heard from their SR's when they will be doing their BS21? Thank goodness that their " Hell Week" is now over! I sure hope they all did good! 17 more days to go!!!
Has anyone heard from their SR lately? It's been a long time since I have received a call. Two total. Adopting him for thanksgiving so I will see him next week but just worried. Each call he has sounded strong and couldn't wait to get too the "fun" stuff. Maybe he is just having too much fun! But I hear "hell week" is going on. It must be a serious week.

HotHappy, I got a letter last Thursday, from my SR. It was very very short! The last call I got was on the 3rd.  He said that they wont be able to call again until after battlestations, except for hopefully on Thanksgiving!  Their Hell Week should have ended yesterday.  I hope they all did really good!!   So today should be Week 5- Day 1.  He also told me that they are very busy, and don't have much time to write anymore.

I am still looking for "Paul's" family. I am adopting him for thanksgiving. Private message me for a last name for privacy.
I finally received a letter today! And certainly seemed a little bit frustrated with his non-enlisted friends. Before he enlisted they were all supportive and he hasn't received a single letter I think he's feeling a little down about that. One week and I get to have him for the day I can't wait! And to those of you can't spend the day with your sailor my prayers to you.
Nope. I wish I was adopting your sailor... I really wanted to find the parents of the sailor we are adopting so if they wanted to send him his favorite cookies or something special for him. I know they can't take anything back with them but still we will have them all day. I also have no idea what size he is because I want to buy him some lounge pants so they can get out of their uniforms and lounge around watch the football game and just have a few hours of feeling no pressure. My son wants to shower... Lol I rented a two bedroom suite so I am just planning on cooking at the hotel and not doing much unless the boys want to go out and about. I am making the assumption they want hot long showers, naps, football and food. But since my SR hasn't called in weeks I don't know what they want. Long story short I wish I could talk with my adopted SR's parents so I could do something special for him. A simple thing like sending his cell phone so he can text or call his friends if that is something that would be important to him.

Is anyone going up for Thanksgiving from Virginia?
