Welcome pamesue! I'm in Superior Twp/Ypsilanti!  My daughter has been in since 10-8-08.

Colleen I will pray for your Aunt for healing.   Lorraine, your son and his growing family continue in my prayers for recovery from surgery and a healthy baby in the new year.

Thanksgiving will be quiet with just our 2 sons....but the 6 of us were together on the 15th for the Bush Homecoming.  We will celebrate Christmas around New Year's when our sailor and our oldest daughter are here.

When I count my blessings, I count Navy Moms!!!  Truly blessed.

Welcome to the group pamesue!!!

My sailor has been in 3 1/2 years and is on a sub in Hawaii. Been there several times to visit. He just surprised me with a short visit. Nice to see him although he has been spending most his time with his older brother. Tomorrow we are celebrating Thanksgiving with a few relatives.

Try to go to PIR...it is great!!! Bring tissues...they grow up so much!!!

Hi ladies, my son left for BC on 11.13.14.  Navy life is new to us.  I was searching the groups and found this one and joined.  I'm in SE Micnigan and hopefully will gain insight in to navy life through this website.

Colleen, we were just at the edge of the lake effect snow so we only got a couple inches. I sure feel for the people in Buffalo.
I haven't seen any posts on Facebook latelyfr Cathie or Ruth. Hopefully they'll see your query and post a coment here.
Looking forward to Thanksgiving - hope it's happy for all.

Kim - I hope you made it out of MI safely.  Enjoy the homecoming!  Hope you brought tissues.

Lorraine - glad to hear your Sailor is back to work and you are back in MI.  How's this stupid weather by you?

Yvette - Dishwashers sure have improved!  That was the best story I've heard in a long time!  Enjoy having him home.

Prayers for my aunt, please.  She fell and shattered her femur.  Had surgery to put in a plate and 9 pins to hold what bone was left, together.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't get back on by then.  Has anyone heard from Ruth?  CathieRenee?

It's great to hear about the surprises and homecomings, all special events! Enjoy your "dishwasher," Tysmom. Safe travels, Kim F.
Marianne, I'm sure you were excited to attend KT's homecoming. One of her fellow sailors was on the Kalamazoo news station tonight for surprising his son at school.
Yvette, thanks for asking about my sailor. He is back to work on light duty and expects orders after the first of the year. lanie is in Michigan visiting her folks and we will get to see her and Kale before they go back. The pregnancy is going well and it won't be long now. Not sure if Scott will be home at all for the holidays.
For everyone seeing their sailors in November and December, enjoy! I love hearing about your visits.
