Hi everyone,

Blondie, take care. Let the kids help when they get there. :-)

Jean, sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving! Safe travels.

Anna, stay warm, and not much longer to warmer places,

jappy, If he is on a ship, the only problem would be space to store it. I know they have all religions on the ship. Off I would be worried.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone. God Bless you and All our Military. If you are with your Sailors, enjoy, if not hold them in your heart.

Jean,

Sounds like a wonderful get together for you!!!!  Safe travels!!!

Leach73,

I saw them on the US Navy page on facebook along with some other style of military clothing.  I'll try to find a link for you!!!  Wonderful to see you here!!  Drop in anytime!!!!

Blondie,

We had tons of rain all day Sunday and Monday morning and then within an hour the temps dropped, rain turned to snow and then everything froze overnight.  3 inches of ice and snow on the vehicles.  Our satellite dish on the roof froze so we can't change to cable channels - the satellite can't move!!!!!  1 1/2 weeks until we head south!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!  STAY SAFE!!!!  AND MAY ALL OUR SAILORS NEAR AND FAR HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Good Morning to Everyone.

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving will be fantastic. I hope to be able to get on tomorrow but I probably won't have internet connection over the weekend. We are going to the ocean at Pacific Beach to the Navy housing there for Thanksgiving. So everyone safe travels and a blessed day on Thursday.

jappyj,

He's on a ship isn't he???  I would think if he celebrated Hanukah in his own space he should be safe!!  I don't think any of  his shipmates with him should have a problem.  If he isn't on a ship and is on the ground somewhere then yeah, I'd be much more cautious!!!  Either way, I'm sure you can find a way to still make the holiday special for him.  Last year when Chris was in Afghanistan I sent him a small fiber optic tree to have in his own room, and a pine scented candle that he couldn't light, but it still gave his little room the smell of a pine tree!!!!!!  I wish our kids wouldn't have to be away from home on the special holidays, but we all know that just isn't always possible!!!!  Oh well!!!!!

If I could have gotten outside today I would have taken a picture of our trailer in the snow!!!!  However, I opted to stay inside!!!!!!!

Jean Aurora is adorable she is so wide eyes; Blondie looks like a winter wonderland, however I am glad I do not have to deal with it. It's a busy week with a bit of travel for me.  I did get to spend time with my daughter yesterday it is nice to have her around.  On another note, I am putting the finishing touches on my  sons holiday box we celebrate Hanukah and Christmas; and was planning on sending my son a menorah for Hanukah however being he is deployed and not I a safe place I was afraid it might make him a target and do not want to do that any thoughts on this?
