I got my first call yesterday.   I was soooo choked up that I could bearly talk.   It was so nice to hear his voice and learn about what he has been doing.  The first letter I got didn't sound to go and it just made me feel really bad for him.  But after speaking with him....he shounds much better.   I went ahead and booked a flight from Tues (12/30) all the way thru Sun (1/4).   Not sure if they will get liberity all those days  but I wanted to be there just in case.   Also, I am sure most of you know, but the lodge on the base is very cheap.  I am awaiting my security clearance and than I can make an official booking.  I am soooo excited for this.   Um...but can someone turn up the heat there... I am a native of San Diego and soooo not used to the cold.

CatMom509 it would be easier to stay I bet but I didn't know about going at Christmas when I made all the travel arrangements for PIR. And have to do some kind of Christmas on December 26 with my family back in Delaware. It's all good! I never even dreamt I would get to see my son on Christmas.

CatMom:  I was thinking the same thing.   However, by the time she factors in a rental car for those extra 5 days, hotel and food, it may be cheaper to fly back home and come back?

Good Morning!  Hope all have a great Sunday!
