Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hola buenas tardes para todas hoy
Me gustaria compartirles que esta mañana recivi las prineras dos cartas de mi hija desde que se fue y doble sorpresa por que me acava de hablar por telefono y la escuche mas tranquila que la semana pasada eso me da un poco de tranquilidad
Estoy contenta por poder escuchar a no hija aunque sea unos minutos :)

Se k aveces es dificil de k los hijos se vayan Lejos de nosotros Pero como los pajaritos los cuidamos y los ensenamos a volar y l mejor es k estan bien cuidados Ellos son mariners en esta vid nosotros el puerto seguro donde si empire puente regresar

Tere - ahora mas que nunca, aferrate a Dios y en El encontraras paz. Acuerdate que no hay ningun mal que por bien no venga. La vida nos da pruebas duras pero tenemos que seguir luchando y no perder la esperanza y la fe. Hazte fuerte hermana y ten confianza de que todo va salir bien.

Gracias por tener la confianza de desahogarte aqui con nosotras. Por eso estamos aqui...para tener un lugar a donde venir y encontrar apoyo, comprension, amistad.

Asi como dice el dicho de la imagen de tu perfil....ahora tienes que ser fuerte! Y lo eres! Ten fe hermana. Orare por ti!

Hola, bien dia a todas. Disculpen el no contestar antes, pero me deprimi un poco, estamos pasando Una cituacion dificil, la compania donde mi esposo trabajaba por 20 años cerro hace unos dias, la semana pasada fuimos a corte por Una adopcion que estamos procesando desde hace 2 años, Mi hijo en great lakes, etc etc. Disculpen pero necesitaba desahogarme.

Prounmom, gracias por contestar, leach, Dios te bendiga junto con esas Bellas personas que haran esa comida. Ojala pidieras ver a mi hijo darle un  abrazo y decirle cuanto lo quiero. Y Feliz navidad en compania de hija O:-)

Claudia - todo lo que estas sintiendo es normal. La angustia, la tristeza, el vacio...te entiendo amiga.
Y asi como dice nuestra hermana Proudmom, despues de todo esto vas a sentir un gran alivio. Sigue mandandole cartas a tu hija, asi como a ella le sirven de motivacion, para nosotras tambien es como una terapia, de desahogar nuestro orgullo a atreves de las palabras que les va servir a ellos como fuerzas para seguir luchando y hecharle ganas. Lo siento mucho que la ausencia de ella durante estos dias festivos aun te va afectar mas...pero tu mandale besos y abrazos al viento y le llegaran.

Te cuento que vivo en un suburbio de Chicago y el dia de Thanksgiving voy a ir al VFW hall donde van a llegar como 200 recruits de Great Lakes y vamos a recibirlos y darles una comida de Thanksgiving. Supuestamente ellos no saben a donde los llevan so es sorpresa para ellos. La mama que me invito dice que ella ha participado y que es un dia tan especial!! Estoy tan emocionada!! NO se como seleccionan a los afortunados que les toca salir de boot camp ese dia. Alomejor los ponen en grupo y los llevan a diferentes lugares.

Otras mamas que tienen a sus hijos en boot camp - Isela, Terezita, etc...
mandenme un Friend request y asi me pueden decir el nombre de sus recruits y hare lo posible para buscar a su hijo/a entre el grupo para darles un saludo.

La graduacion de mi hija es en Enero 9 2015
Y si desde que supe su direccion le eh estado escribiendo todos Los dias y les estoy diciendo a nuestros familiares que le escriban tanbien para poder ayudarla a echarle muchas ganas para que salga adelante por que como tu mention as es muy dificil a mi me esta doliendo mucho el saver que esta lejos y no poder hablar con ella a diario el sabado me llamo rapidito y la escuche como triste y eso me a tenido llorando desde ese dia el pensar que se sienta sola me pone mal como deceo que passenger estas semanas rapido
