Hello,

My son began boot camp on November 12, 2014.  I was just wondering if there are any other moms with a child there also?  It would be nice to chat with others in the same boat...or should I say "the same ship"? :)

Our son flew out on the 13th.  His PIR is 9 Jan 14.  He is on Ship 13, Div 058

My son is ship 03 division 052 and is ls graduating on January 9th.  My son did not take a phone card with him.  Will he be able to call without one?  I was wondering if I can send one now.  I would also like to send him a small bible but am not sure if something larger than a regular size envelope is acceptable. Any thoughts on this?

Okay, thanks!  That helps!

I saw them!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see my son, but I loved being able to see what they are doing.  Those ski masks looked scary!  They looked like terrorists in training!  Haha!

That is awesome!  God used social media to give you some reassurance!  How incredible is that! :)  I am so incredibly proud of my son!  I pray for him everyday; I will pray for your son also!

God Bless America!

My son also left on the 12th.  Just got his form letter yesterday!  Division 51.  PIR Jan 9th.  Can't wait!!

My son flew out on 13 Nov 2014 and his PIR is 9 Jan 2014. He is on Ship 13, Div 058. We got the box on 19 Nov and the form letter the next day. Does anyone know anything about the Adopt-A-Sailor program for the holidays? Has anyone received a phone call from this division? We are writing him everyday.

Well my son shipped to boot camp Nov 18.  I received "the box" on the 21st and will look for the form letter assuming he made it through P-days without being sent home.

Just talked to the recruiter he made it through P-Days and was assigned to Division 063. Thank you so much!! Recruiter didn't know where my form letter was. He gave me info to write him. Anyway thanks again! Happy Thanksgiving! I have it at my home and it won't be the same without him!

donna1799, I left info for you on your My Page. It takes an average of 10 days after arrival to receive the form letter and that is today for you, but Thanksgiving may delay that a day or so.

Our son also flew out on the 13th. His PIR is also Jan 9 14. He is also on Ship 13, he is Div 057. Thanksgiving was rough without him.

Oldejude, I left info for you on your My Page.
