My son has been at Little Creek for 2 years and had loved being on base.  He got lonely and went off base and found a Norfolk girl and married her.  He has now found out all she has told him has been a lie. He is devastated and is trying to get a divorce. I am in Ohio and need an experienced adult to help him get the legal help he needs.  Can anyone help?

hi john and yvonne

sorry for not seeing your post earlier.  yes, a pm with cell would be nice to pass along to my daughter.  just married to sailor, and probably in need of a social life when deployments start happening.

thank you for sharing.

ChrissyDVM,

Nice to hear your son is at lIttle creek. My husband and I( as you have probably read Ruth's comment about us) invite the sailors over to our home on the weekends. We feed them and play board games and hang out together. We've been having anywhere from 6 to 12 sailors here every weekend and would be happy to invite your son to join us. I can pm you our cell number if you like.

I've been to John and Yvonne's home a number of times when visiting our sailor.  If your sailor needs a place where people care, take them up on their offer!  Wonderful people!

Also, our sailor is looking for a forever home for "Dexter."  He's about four years old and lives in VB currently.

Glad to know there is a Little Creek group on this site. My son had been stationed in Bahrain for 20 months and has been stationed at Little Creek now since Nov. 8 but has been home in OH on leave since 12/1 and heads back to LC this Sat. Before Bahrain he was stationed in Norfolk assigned to the USS Ramage. I've looked for a group on FB but didn't find one. Does anyone know of one?

Hello all you moms out there!

I haven't been on this group much, but I see that several of your sons or daughters are being sent to Little Creek. I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I invite any sailors who want to, to come over to our home on the weekends for food, board games, movies, spending time with us and other sailors who enjoy being in a home when they are so far away from their own.

LarLar, we have a sailor who comes over who is also on the USS Oakhill.

Please let your sons or daughters know about us. We can pm any of you our cell number so they can get in touch with us or if they agree you can give us their cell number and we can invite them over personally. :)

If you want to know more about us, just go to our page on this site.

We wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Yvonne and John Wagner

Diane,

It's great that both of them are going to be so close. My son is also at Little Creek. He loves it.

Hi, my daughter just got her orders for little creek. Her report no later than date is the day before my son's ship is to return to Norfolk. I'm excited because she might be able to join me for that. She is assigned to a TACRON unit, there is not much info out there about this. I'm very happy that she is going to be close to where her brother is.

I am asking the same question about mail. My son got there last month and is living on ship. I want to send his christmas gift, but he says not to, he won't get it. Any suggestions.. I hate for him to spent money on a P.O box, he doesn't get much mail at all.
