Sue I Love the Turkey jars they came out great. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Comment by Sue-Pillowcase lady on November 27, 2014 at 11:33am

I made these at school with my Kinder class and my afternoon class.  I made one, which I forgot to bring home-my tail feathers are red, white and blue because Thanksgiving is an American holiday.

They are made with baby food jars.  The instructions say to put water and glitter inside and I thought "NO WAY".  That's a mess waiting to happen.

So we painted glue inside the jar, put glitter inside and gave it a few shakes!  Turned out great.

from Diane yesterday:

Wednesday UPDATE: Praise the Lord....Kari is scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 1 pm. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts, and kind words of encouragement.

Comment by Sue-Pillowcase lady on November 18, 2014 at 5:18pm

just go this from Diane B who sews alot for HAE:

Our daughter, Kari is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday.  However, the nurse called her last nightt and told her that if they didn't hear from the Insurance Co. by today that they would have to postpone the surgery.  Kari has rapidly growing uterine fibroids that her Doctor would have taken out a month ago if he could.  It seems that we need a miracle to get the insurance to come through today.  Kari is just 30 years old, and having to have a hysterectomy.  She is terrified, and prolonging the inevitable only makes her more terrified.   We would really appreciate your prayers tonight and for the next few days.  If the surgery goes as planned, she will have about 6 weeks of staying at home, without work.

God Bless!
