My name is Lindsay. Im 15 years old and My older brother Scott left for boot camp December 10th 2012. I still don't know how I'm feeling about him being gone. He is my best friend and its weird not having my best friend not here. My parents come on here and it makes them feel better sorta knowing what's he's been up too. We got a call from him on Christmas Eve and I was the happiest person in the world just hearing his voice. I know I miss my brother but I feel so awkward admitting it. It's hard to talk to my parents about and I feel like its not my place to miss him. Maybe you can help? I've been looking for someone to talk to about this. I'm not his mother or his father, however I am his sister is it ok to miss him as much as I do? Let me know what you think. I'm so proud of him don't get me wrong. But it's just.. Different. Him being gone is harder than anyone can imagine. I'm trying to be strong but I'm just a person. Any advice?!

Hi all! My little brother just flew into GL yesterday and arrived around 7:30 p.m. I'm so proud, yet nervous for him. I know he will do great. Anyone else have a sibling in the group of SRs arriving yesterday?

Hi everyone! My name is Jess and I have two brothers in the Navy. One is about to start his 3 years in Italy and he's actually my twin. We've always been around each other and done everything together so when he left in July last year for bc and then I went to school things have changed. We talk when we can, but both of us our so busy me with school and him with all of his a school and now he's on leave just relaxing. My other brother is at bc right now and graduates March 16 I can't wait to see him, he's in div 807. I haven't seen him since the beginning of December when I was home for two weeks. I'm so proud of both of them and even though I miss them I get through every day by reminding myself of what they are doing for our country. Letters, phone calls, skype, and my mom get me through everyday.

Hello everyone!! My name is Kristine and my brother left for Great Lakes, IL on July 8th, 2010 for boot camp. He graduates in Sept. 2010. I like the rest of you miss my baby brother something terrible. He's one of those people that can light up any room just by him smiling. Anyone else have a loved one in division 293?
