Dear Linda my thoughts are very much with you and I am happy to hear your son will heal. Yes, motorcycles are extremely dangerous, two very close people to me have been injured while riding on them, one of them was my husband decades ago. He's in law enforcement and has always said there are two people who ride motorcycles "those who have crashed and those who will crash." Neither of the accidents affecting my loved ones was their fault either. Enjoy having that handsome Sailor of yours home, God's blessings to you and your family.

Thank you for all your prayers & thoughts. Brian is in a lot of pain right now, & May need surgery on his wrist. We'll know more when he sees the surgeon on Monday. All day yesterday, I was counting my blessings, knowing he could have been hurt much more seriously or worse. I've been thanking & praising God every minute for watching over my son yesterday, keeping him safe from further harm, considering how deadly motorcycle accidents usually are. I'm hoping this will sway him against motorcycles from now on, but it's too soon to have that conversation with him. I never wanted him to get a motorcycle in the first place, I was dead against it for good reason, hopefully now he'll realize why.

LindaGirl, hope all goes well. At least it was only a wrist and nothing more. Hopefully, the guy who ran the stop sign stopped and helped your son.

Ah LindaGirl, praying for a speedy recovery for your Maine son.

Why can't anything go 100% right? We picked up my son from the airport this morning, on leave for 10 days, & I was on cloud 9 all day, knowing that I would have him home here for the holidays, after him not being home here for over a year. Just got a call this afternoon from my Marine son, on his way home from work, on his motorcycle, that he's only had since the summer; a guy blew a stop sign, & my son crashed right into him, breaking his wrist & totaling the bike. I know, thank God he is I alive & not seriously hurt, but now this really puts a damper on the holidays, just when everything was going so right. My husband is at the hospital with him right now, so I don' have all the details, but am waiting for them to return. It's going to be awhile, with x-rays, cast, etc, etc. Some homecoming for my sailor, he gets to see his brother in the hospital for the first time in over a year.
