Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 911

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello everyone!   I am excited to meet others thru this group,..   looking forward to connecting with you all

Hello everyone!!  I am so excited and counting the days...how about you guys?

I am right there with you...  The excitement builds everyday that we get closer to the 23rd of January.  What a proud moment it will be.  My older son went to the Army and i remember that proud mother moment when you had his BC graduation.  Just seeing those boys in uniform brings tears to a mom....  I am so looking forward to this one as well.  Gives me goose bumps thinking about the moment I get to see his eyes and know that everything is right with him as well.

Exactly...I am super stoked!!  Just thinking about it makes me all teary eyed!!  We finalized our travel arrangements today!  Hoorahhhh #goNavy!!

Hello myboycadel we have been in contact looking forward to hearing from others also.

Jan 23rd can't come soon enough! The hole in my heart will go away and will be filled with such excitement to see him in uniform and to see him walking so proud! Hurry up and get here I need a hug and I'm sure he does too!

Agree...I cannot wait to see our SR!!   I will be so elated to see him, but I will hate saying goodbye again...

At least after boot camp he will be able to call whenever we wants  to.

Just received a phone call ship 02 div 911 1 full hour! We got caught up with everything he sounds fantastic, my heart is still heavy but listening to his voice and how far he has come really makes me feel better. Love that SR! Hope all those other moms and dads get their phone call tonight

We just got off the phone with our SR....he sounds good! Misses home but said he is holding up.

I received a call from my son on Friday evening (SHIP 02 DIV 911).  A voice has never sounded as good as his did.

He said the guys in his DIV are a great group of guys and so are the RDC's. He said they are all awesome people and that they lean on each other for alot.  He is happy with his choice to join the Navy.  He said alot of the recruits in his DIV got sick the first week but mostly everyone is over it.  He said they took his wisdom teeth out but gave him good pain meds for afterwards.

All in all he is doing really well. We talked for about 15 mins because he still needed to call his father and his girlfriend, all together I think he was given 40 mins to call home because of scoring high on his first academic test.  It was so nice to hear his voice, it soothed any worries I was having.  He is thriving in the Navy enviorment and loves the camaraderie amongst his DIV.

He said he has only gotten 2 letters from me but I have sent about 12.  I imagine the holidays have things delayed.

By the way...my SR turns 18 on Christmas morning...I miss him so much.

So happy you got your call Melanie!!  Yes our SR said he is with a great group as well and when we heard from ours, he also said he scored well on a test.  Said he has to re-take the swim test though...because he was not treading water well..but he said he is ready for the re-test...Merry Christmas and hopefully we get to hear from our SRs again by Christmas!!
