Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 073 and 074

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Got my letter today he had me laughing and crying.....you have to know my son his sense of humor is awesome!!! Like all parents we are happy he is happy!!! I pray he continues to have a positive experience :)

I got my first letter!! Actually it was three letters (numbered!) in the same envelope. He had started writing while still in P-days. I cried and laughed and cried some more! He sounds good. He got his wisdom teeth pulled, failed the swim test (but he said they are teaching him to swim and he almost has it!) He said the first week was the roughest and they were kept awake for the first 48 hours, but it is getting easier. He has made friends and they help each other through through it. He loves his uniform and can't wait to see us at graduation. He also said he missed me way more than he ever thought he would & he missed our long talks. He thanked me for always believing in him & supporting him and he told me he loved me several times! My heart is over flowing! Soooo happy!!!

I too received letters today. I got 2 different ones in the same envelope. My son also mentioned how the first couple of days were hard because they kept them up 40 hours. He also mentioned that they all are working very hard and that they are so busy..which is good but that he was so tired. He also said that the food was not to bad but nothing like a home cooked meal. He made me laugh and cry as well. He sounded good and it did my heart well to get his letters. I have also heard from his Girlfriend and his Grandmother who also received letters today from him.My son said that his RDC was really funny and it is  really cold there. It was a good day today to hear from my boy and I am so happy that all of you also heard from your boys too!

I forgot-he also said he didn't get ARPOC-but got REIGIOUS PO and is on the Head Crew...I looked those up on the ??? page and I saw what ARPOC is, but couldn't find the other. Maybe it is misspelled? Does anyone know what that is?

Head is the Navy term for bathroom. That means he is on the bathroom cleaning crew.

My son, div 073, is on the head crew as well.

I am too! I hope we all get a call today! Thinking about about my son a lot today.

Yes! Me too!!!

My son was able to make a call tonight. He did not call me but did call his girlfriend. She told me they were able to talk for 40 mins. She told me that he sounded good but that DIV 073 got in trouble for being chatty and got a orangeIT ( guess this means intense training) but sounded good and all was well. Any news is good news so very happy to hear something. Sounds like things are tough but expected...but that they were doing  well . I hope you all got a call too my thoughts are with you!

Phone call from my SR today! Yea! He sounded great! He misses chairs! I will wear a smile all week

My son is in the same Division. We have not heard from him since 12/22. If you don't mind shar
My son is in the same Division. We have not heard from him since 12/22. If you don't mind sharing, what type of problems has your SR indicated they are having? The first time I heard from my SR was at the end of week 1 and there were already SRs confined to quarters for disciplinary reasons. Thanks for any info you can share.
USMC, what did is your SR? 73?
