Moms/Dads/Families with Nukes in Ballston Spa, NY

Wanted to start a group for moms, dads, and other family members that have Nukes currently attending Prototype in Ballston Spa, NY.

Thought I would start a group for the families of sailors stationed in NY for Prototype. It will be nice to chat about what is going on with our sailors whether it is good or bad so that we can support each other. I have connected with many people on this site but it is always nice to meet others that are going through the same things together. Also if you have had a sailor in NY for an extended amount of time then you can help the new ones just coming in on what to expect.

1proudmama - his oral boards are next Monday (1/5).  Yes, we are soooo close.  He said he should be getting orders when he goes back in tomorrow, but if not then this week for sure!  I'll definitely let you all know where he ends up!

BsNukesmom Hope Orals went well for your sailor. So close to the next step. Keep us posted on where he gets stationed.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!  To those that have their sailors home for Christmas - Enjoy!  For those of us who don't I understand and send extra hugs your way.

Peace to all of you!

Hi Patti - yes, I've heard that they do that.  I guess often they will work their 12 hour shift & then take their orals.  He had a meeting with his staff advisor recently & he is feeling pretty confident about it.  I'm saying lots of prayers!  Counting the days!

Happy RED shirt Friday!

Heard from sailor - he has 3 more watches to stand before orals!

Sunday will be the 2 year anniversary of his BC graduation - WOW!  Can't believe it's been 2 years.
