Dachshund:  The one I posted was from the RTC site...maybe it needs to be updated?  Whatever works to get those letters to your SR!  :-)

Good Morning All !

dianeep that is the one I used but on his return address he scratched that out and wrote something different but as long as they get to him I will be happy. Thank you!

This is hilarious...Hubby and I especially like it because of the Border Collie and Sheep since we have Border Collies :-)

To view it better, double-click it and it will open into a large screen.

Lilo54, we just celebrated an early Christmas with my two older kids and their families. It was not the same without my SR. I am melancholy as well-trying not to show it to his brother & sister-but they felt the same. I am so thankful for this support group where I can talk about it and you all understand. I am also thankful for the path my SR has chosen and I know it is making him an even better young man! We will gt through this-just like they will! :-)

Dachshund:  The wrong last 4 digits on the zip won't prevent the letters from getting there.  It is very possible the your SR wrote his letters before he received the ones from you.  Hopefully he is receiving all of his mail now.

So, feeling a bit melancholy that my SR will not be here for Christmas.  I am getting ready to wrap presents and put them under the tree.  I will bring them to him at PIR.  I know that it will be probably be different for him too.  But, I can feel good that this is his new life and he will be with a lot of good shipmates to share one of many holidays!  I will keep my fingers crossed that I might get a phone call!

Ahh thank you CAnavywife I don't mind at all that was so kind of you I hope my SR has a good day Sunday. I do hope I get a call at least this weekend. My boys are very different as well I wish I knew how they felt about being apart my SR is more to show his feelings than his brother his brother is pretty hard core how funny the other son went to the Navy. Do you and your twin talk often? I like talking to people who are twins it helps me to understand the bond that they have because having boys they don't express themselves to much. How is your husband doing? Did he say if things we're getting easier? Or how the guys in the Div are doing as a group? I have so many questions to ask my son I thunk I will overwhelm him. I'm glad to hear he was happy about turning 21 though! Do you have any idea how late they can call? Thank you so much for telling your husband about my sons birthday that was very very nice!!!

Dachshund28 --we are not identical, completely different for that matter but very close so I can relate to how hard it must be. I also got a call from my husband div 911! So good to hear his voice! Hope you don't mind, I told him I heard someone in the div is turning 21 on Sunday and he knew exactly who it was. Says he's  excited to be 21. Told him to wish him a happy birthday from our family. He may have been on guard duty tonight. He said he's  expecting another call around Christmas. Fingers crossed you'll  get a call soon!
