I'll be leaving the group within the next week. My daughter has enjoyed her year as an OS, but she will be cross rating to HM. She will start school for that in 2 weeks.

My son surprised me with an article that just came out.  A very proud OS2 mom moment.

Hey! Im new to the group. My SR is still in boot camp and graduates 06/26/15. He is staying in Great Lakes for A School for OS. How long is the schooling and what is this "Hold" everyone is talking about.

Hi heyashli, my daughter put Virginia as her first choice and got it. She is in Little Creek. She was told that if Virginia is first choice you will more than likely get it.

Hi ladies! I'm curious what everyone's experience with the dream sheet was like? Did your sailor get one of their choices? Mine wants Norfolk, may port or San Diego and we are praying he gets one of them!

My son got his orders. He was a sep. 19th grad. He's going clear across the country from where we live. He said they got their orders early.

My son said it was random people. Not sure how many or what was really going on or if they were being held for sure. No real rhyme or reason on who is put on hold. He said he won't know until he gets his orders. And those he said no one knows when they are getting those either. Hopefully it will be soon. It's getting close to holiday time and was trying to schedule now there seems to be a kink. Anyone else heard anything?

My son is also in is school and was supposed to come home next month some time. Do you know if the whole group of os sailors at great lakes are on hold possibly?

Hi all! My son told me yesterday that he may be placed on "hold". What exactly does that mean? He is telling me now that he may not be able to come home to visit when he was expected which was in about a month. anyone have any exprience with this? Thanks!
