Feeling very blessed this Christmas to have both my Military boys home this year, as last year, they were both away, one in Africa,  and the other in Hawaii.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all from my family to yours. I feel so blessed to have our sailor home for Christmas. I am hugging him for all of you who will not be with your loved ones. I could not of made it through this journey without of the support that I received from the wonderful Navy families. God bless us all in the year to come and keep all of our sailors safe.

Three of my sons roommates.at nuclear prototype in New York all bought new motorcycles.  One who  was also his roommate in Groton for a while came to our house a number of times  and one time he had huge road rash on one of his legs.  He had wrecked the bike but was still planning to get it repaired.  My son wanted to buy a motor scooter in Hawaii but I talked him out of it.  He bought a used car, a Mercedes Benz sports car Lol.

Yes, LindaGirl, you have to insist that he stay home for dinners and such. He needs to be there for you too!  Hug him for all of us whose sons won't be home. And daughters.

Hi baby dukie's mama, and I thought it was only my son who comes home & disappears to go out with his friends. We have yet to sit down & have a dinner with him since he has been home for the last 2 or 3 nights! Tomorrow night for sure, we are going to insist that he stay home & have dinner with us.

Dear Shea, I'm so sorry for the mental suffering you endured, & for the loss of the young man, as well as the pain his family endured. I do hope that "time" will & does ease the pain & suffering accidents cause. All we can do is pray, and ask The Lord to be with us & get us through the rough times. And Kevsmom93, I am going to tell my son what you husband says about motorcycles: "there are 2 people who ride motorcycles, those who have crashed & those who will crash". I want him to remember that if he ever gets on a bike again.
Comment by Shea on December 20, 2014 at 1:41pm
My dear Linda my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. What Kevsmom said is so true. I was involved in an accident in 2007 with a motorcycle. A young man driving one at an extremely high rate of speed hit me. He tried to avoid me at the last minute which is why I am here today. Instead of hitting me broadside at the drivers door he hit at the front wheel. He did not survive the accident and left behind a wife and 2 year old daughter and I suffered with PTSD for a number of years after. There is a lesson and reason for everything and I'm sure God will reveal it in good time. Hugs to you!
