For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

heyashi: They will have a copy of the guest list from your SR at the gate. If you plan to drive on base, you will need the gate pass which you will be able to download about 11 days before PIR. Prompt will be on the RTC website. If you plan to take a shuttle from your hotel (usually Sarge's), no gate pass needed. You also can park off base at the train station, right past RTC, and not need the gate pass (but I believe the train station is paid parking...not much though).

Do I need to bring the physical form letter to graduation to get on base? Or will they have a copy of the guests that are supposed to be permitted?

Romepop: Sorry, the Adopt a Sailor for Christmas is only for the 01/09 and 01/16 groups. She will get a nice meal on the base and some will be able to call home that day, but with so many SRs on base, not too many. Some may be able to make calls PRIOR to Christmas Day so have phones close!

Romepop, I'm not sure of the guidelines, but I think I remember reading somewhere that it's for recruits that have been there longer.
April, Keep your phone with you at all times because calls are very random. However, the only calls you really can expect are the "I'm Here" call, the "I'm still alive" call (midway through), and the "I'm a sailor" call after Battlestations. Any additional calls would be extra rewards for a job well done.

Hi everyone, my daughter left to bc Dec9th.I was wondering if anyone knows about the adopt a sailor program.Would love for her to be able to enjoy the day on Christmas.I'm looking forward to graduation, missing her already.

Hi everyone! My son arrived at bc the 10th. Just got his form letter the 19th. I haven't had a phone call other than his "I'm here" call. I really want to hear from him and just know that he's doing ok. Ship 13 Div 090
