Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 081 and 082

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Kristynukmom, I found my son at pic #540.  Not sure where the div started.  Since there are 612 pics maybe start at the end and work your way backwards. Hope he's there.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays too all! I didn't see my son but enjoyed looking at all the pictures!

I thought that I saw my son last night in a photo but decided to wait and double check this morning!  Yeah!  it was him.  Renee, they are in the same photo, I think.  Not sure how you saw the numbers of the photos.

I was viewing it on my desktop as a "slideshow".  When I first looked it was like 5:30 in the morning. Before coffee. Needed a bigger screen.  :D

I was so happy that I could actually see him clearly and not just the corner of an eyebrow.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt they were viewing " Where's Waldo Navy BC edition".

Do you only see pictures on Facebook?

I believe so Justme62, under their page U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command. Hope you can find your recruit!

Yay!!!! I finally saw the pics last night! I had to look until I got to pic number 544 then I spotted that face;) He was in 3 pics! Soooo, if you're looking for Ship 13 Div 081, those pics are mid 500's. On top of seeing him, I got my first letters yesterday! Such a great day!!

Just received our second call from our son. ( Division 082 )  So happy, I hope yours are coming soon.

Me too!
Just got my scond call from him! I was super surprised! He was able to talk for 33 minutes. He sounds great and said that everything is going well. He's so funny and managed to keep me laughing the whole phone call;) 33 Days or 4 weeks 5 days until we all get to see our babies!! I can't wait. I watched a PIR online and cried, I can only imagine how it'll be in person and with MY child!

Sherri whats your SR's last name? Im trying to connect with family members that my son has mentioned :)

I almost didn't answer the phone!

I've been preparing myself for the fact that I might not get to talk to him when he calls (my work schedule is severely wonky and there are a lot of instances where I can't get to my phone when it rings) and would have to live vicariously through my husband and daughter.  I was SOoooo freakin' thrilled when I heard "Hey!"

He's been sick the last couple of weeks but finally caved and went to the doctor.  Other than that and being tired he says it's all good.

Oh, FYI for anyone who got calling cards from calls for recruits, there may be an issue with you SR being able to use them.  My son had a couple and said he didn't get a chance to talk to us last week b/c when dialing out he would get a busy signal.  He was pretty bummed about that. So he bought one when they had a chance to go to the nex.
