Painting with a Twist

Hi Everyone,

The Western NY Navy Moms are having a get together on February 8th at the Buffalo Painting with a Twist. We wanted to invite all of you who may want to join us. We will be painting a Branch Neutral picture of combat boots that can be personalized by boot color, background color and service members name, branch, or whatever you like. We all usually bring a dish and/or beverage to pass. I posted the link above. But if you'd like to join us, please let me know & I'll share the password with you. You do pay the $35 registration fee when you register. We have many carpooling, so let me know where you are & we'll see who we can arrange carpools with.

We had a blast at our last event & hope we get to meet some new Moms this time. You are also welcome to bring family members, friends, even other branches (last time we had 3 branches represented).

Call the airlines.  They might have a policy for active military leisure travel.  United used to have a limited supply of tickets that they could issue that are totally changeable and refundable.  You may have to phone a view times get find someone who knows about it.

I know that if his plans change due to orders, they usually will change the flights.  If he is home and gets called back, they have to get him back. I had this issue every year that my son was in Japan.  They waited until December before they let them put their chits in for the holidays.  It usually cost him between $2400. and $3000. to come home.

Baby watch!  My DIL was just booked into West Point maternity.  They are inducing tonight.  Please say a prayer for my sailor, his wife and their son.

I'd buy the insurance so that the flight can be changed without forfeiting your money.

Hi all, just want to wish you all a VERY Happy New Year! Be well and prosper. It's nice to read all of your reuinions with your Sailors :). My Sailor is in Hawaii. I'm trying to get him a tickt to come home in March. He tells me he can't put in for his leave until two weeks before he wants leave. If I wait that long the ticket price will double. Any suggestions?
