JC19,

I'm just thinking your SR must have a position with alot of responsibility or has ended up on watch when calls have been made.  Just operate on the "no news is good news" mentality~~  Right now, most of the divisions here are going into the really intense training part of Boot Camp and if your SR has a chance to write, that's the only communication available at this point.  Just keep on praying for him to get through Boot Camp and come here for moral support!!  ((HUGS)).  Oh, keep on writing too because each and every SR lives for those letters!!

I have only gotten one letter so far. My son is in Div 100 ship 12. The letter I got took eleven days to get to me :( I keep thinking Im going to get a whole stack of backed up letters any day now. Hopefully you will get some soon.

So still no call, no letter nothing! I am so upset about not hearing from him. I hope at some point today I will get a call from him. I am ready to attack my mail lady

Lisa:  You will meet your sailor at the airport in the wee hours of the morning after they are bussed there (usually on Sat. morning after PIR---sometimes on Sunday).  All who want airlines passes need to have ID.  I believe your sailor needs to meet you to get this pass.  It is alot easier than it sounds.  There are hundreds of sailors at the airport then, but it is pretty organized, I hear, on them checking their luggage/getting gate passes for their family members.  When my sailor was there, I didn't know we could go do that.  And his flight was even delayed so we would have had most of the morning with him.  Sad, but there wasn't as much info on here then (late 2009/2010) as there is now!

ConcernedMom:  Just remember to hit "Add Comment" after you post, and you are good to go!  I see your post below so you are doing it right!

Good morning to all. I'm not ignoring you ladies but not sure if I'm responding right. After your comment has moved down on the page I respond I hope!!!

My SR mentioned something about needing a pass to be able to go to the gate at the airport with them. Does anyone know exactly how it works at the airport when they leave for A School?
