Ruth: I am sure he is making lots of friends...tooo bad you treat patients first!!! Get those guys shaped up!!! No excuse for incompetence.

My sailor reenlisted last Friday, I think til 2020. They had the ceremony on the top of Koko Head in HI. Someone did a video of it and it is on FB. It made my day to have been there even if I was there through the computer. What a view!!! Proud mom and dad!!!!

Ruth - Thanks for sharing about your son Chris. I so enjoy the different experiences our sailors have since so many serve in different rates, places, etc.

Scottie met his daughter today. They may be heading back to Maine by the end of the week :-( Gotta get all the hugs I can get before then. We hope the snow tomorrow doesn't keep us from having a family get together at Clara's in Battle Creek so more of the family can meet the baby.

LoriM, this is their first together. Lanie has a 6 year old boy and he's as much a grandsons as the bio ones. Love them all!

Lorraine, happy happy day to you and your family. I am sure Scott can't wait to get home. Is this their first? Glad to hear everyone is doing well.

Comment by Lorraine on January 29, 2015 at 11:48am

Scott has a flight to Michigan Friday evening so we'll go pick him up.Thanks for all the well wishes. You all know that nothing is easy in the Navy and they've got 3 more years! Scott was off duty Tuesday because of the blizzard in Maine so I was feeding him pictures and messages. Video was not allowed so no Skype. Here's a picture of mom and baby just moments after the birth.

Congratulations Lorraine!  Scott has just got to be jumping out of his skin.  Praying for safe travels for him and for his new baby and wife!
