Dittersmom, that's great news! And good thinking to help the next people coming up. He is absolutely right. Well done!

Great news Dittersmom!

Now let's hope he gets some leave time ;-)

Good morning ladies. I got sidetracked yesterday driving to Washington to pick up a quilting frame, but wanted to share my good news. My son passed his power school comps and is very excited.

B'snuke ~ my son dogs say that he was much more relaxed the second time and the additional time to study certain subjects really helped him.

He is on grad hold now and hopefully will be able to take leave to come home soon. While he is there he will be volunteering to help the next senior class study. He says it will keep things fresh for him and the best way to remember something is to teach it.

Thank you for your prayers.

Happy Thursday!

Sailor is off to the beach today to visit with some friends.  He was a little under the weather yesterday but luckily feeling better today.  It's just so nice to have him around ;-)  Even the dog is happy!

CarolR,KR,mom - yep my hubby wears shorts everywhere!  He even wore shorts in our wedding!

I can't imagine some of the sleeping arrangements these guys (& gals) have to put up with.  I guess they figure they are so exhausted it doesn't matter LOL.  I know I couldn't do it!

This is my little "Welcome Home" sign I made for him.  (I am pretty proud of this 'cuz I am NOT crafty at all.)  We also did a banner that we hung out front - that I ordered from a sign company though!

J's/S's, what boat is J on again? I can't bring it to mind

NancyJo congrats on the new baby news. I have been there with the rack situation, we learned to find hiding places to sleep. My husband slept sometimes on a 6" 90* water pipe. He can sleep anywhere. Thank you for the update.

Well Congrats on re-enlisting; and, NancyJo, good luck to your Sailor!

My sailor will take his first E6 exam on the ship maybe March he thought. We'll see about how that goes.
