Like Blondie the only thing we can say "Let it snow" since we can't stop it from coming. Survived our Friday storm, now wind chill is @ -10. Next front will hit us Monday morning 3AM EST at least another foot !!

TLynn, he is adorable.  Welcome to the grandma club.  I am jealous of all the time that you will get with him.

DramaSoul.  Ouch!  We have foot/ankle issues on this site.

Cheryl, the snow looks to be one half of your son.

Hey, just finished watching a live feed from my sailor's ship called "Viper Friday" on "UStream" it was was basically their weekly "staff" meeting but it was cool to listen to what a day in the life is like for my sailor. You should check out to see if your sailor's ship has a similar opportunity.

T-Lynn....MAZEL TOV!!! Congrats on your absolutely beautiful grandbaby.  What a cutie pie! Hope all are doing well.

mtnmom...I grew up in Santa Monica. 85 in Ventura is unheard of!!!!

Nursing my sprained ankle....same one I sprained 18 months ago doing the same thing...Step class at the gym...and I don't even put risers under my Step! So pissed off. At least I already had the compression bandage and aircast!

My son is currently in Ft. Belvoir VA. They were preparing for the great snowstorm and it turned out to be barely 3 inches.  I think he will be in for a big surprise when a big one finally hits. In Portland OR we get snow every few years and 3 inches closes the city!

Stay safe and warm everyone. Hugs to all.

seesmom the USO will do birthday cakes. I have the info for Yokosuka. I am sure if you email the Yokosuka contact they can give you the contact for Atsugi. email is mconstantino@uso.org. You can also order one through www.bakeawish. I was told the USO will also sing to them. Hope this helps
