Ha my husband is a complete nerd. (: first night I met him I fell in love with his vocabulary. I was like....I think I love you. So teachers pet maybe (; his intelligence is something I admire and I'm glad that he is putting it to use!
Comment by Montana on February 26, 2015 at 10:48pm
@Jodie sounds like a teachers pet! Haha JUST KIDDING! :) I sent you a message by the way. No, maybe he just wants to keep busy as much as possible so that time goes by quicker. I've head they have been told not to worry about making buddies because most of them probably won't see each other again. That's just hearsay though, I don't know if that's actually said.

@montana maybe. He says he does a lot of the office work. So he spends a lot of time working with the RDCs...he is medical yeoman and dental yeoman...but he mention in his most recent letter he is all three yeomen? So he is doing the work of three people on top of study for classes and pt. Makes me wonder if he even has time :/

Wow @unlockinghope that's crazy! It is a small world. I sent you a request/message. :)

@montana my boyfriend is 13/122! And I have family in Staunton! Small world!
Comment by Montana on February 26, 2015 at 10:39pm
@Jodie, I'm sure he has. He just probably prefers telling you about how much he misses you and other things instead that he thinks are more important. :)

@unlockinghope my husband is Ship 13 Div 122. I'm sure you'll get some tomorrow. :) I miss mine too! Well, I've lived all over VA! I have lived in Fairfax, DC, Woodbridge, Alexandria, Front Royal and now I'm in Staunton.

We received a letter from the SR today! It was a total of about five statements long! LOL He said he wanted to write more but was very busy!  And that he would write longer letters next time. At least I know he is alive and well - LOL =)

Comment by Jodie on February 26, 2015 at 10:35pm
You know....my SR hasn't mentioned any other recruits in any of his letters. I hope he is making friends...
Comment by unlockinghope on February 26, 2015 at 10:29pm
@montana I hope I get mine tomorrow! I miss my SR so badly, what div is your SR in? What part of VA are you in?
Comment by Marie on February 26, 2015 at 10:23pm
Yeah, letter number 2 today. He is on ship 4, division 125. He said this (now .... was week 2, so I guess the later number divisions are following a week behind some others.
Is anyone here a loved one of a 21 year old from Kansas? With an SR in division 125 or 126? I don't want to put his name on here but my SR and he are bunk mates and apparently became fast and furious friends.
I guess I think that bootcamp at least is a protective cocoon from the rest of the world and that is comforting as a mom, but I am so sorry for the SR who is having to get through this and dealing with the loss of his gf.....how terrible! Makes me so grateful for those I love in my life!
